Lost Property

Our Company policy on lost property is that we do not hold onto or store any lost property found in any of our vehicles at any of our Offices. Our drivers are advised to hand any personal items found in any of their vehicles into the nearest Police Station at their earliest convenience, or within 48 hours.

We realise that losing personal items can be distressing and so would like to offer the following advice if you think you have lost a personal item in a taxi.

• If you picked up a taxi from a taxi rank or hailed a taxi down in the street, no Taxi Company will have any record of your booking and so will be unable to identify who your driver was. In this case, please telephone the Lost Property Department at Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999.
• If you telephoned our Company for a taxi and have lost a personal item believed to be in one of our vehicles within the last couple of hours, please telephone our Call Centre on 01273 20 40 60 or 41 41 41 and our staff will do everything they can to assist you.
• If you telephoned our Company for a taxi and have lost a personal item believed to be in one of our vehicles and your journey was more than a couple of hours ago, please telephone the Lost Property Department at Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999. All our drivers are self-employed and it is often very difficult for us to get in contact with them after this time.
